(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado‘s annual symposium: Awareness, Advocacy, and Action is coming to Colorado Springs on Saturday, Jan. 10. The free event will host several discussions and presentations on the epidemic, as well as a chance to get involved with nonprofits to help end human trafficking.
The symposium starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Colorado Springs Shrine Club, located at 6 South 33rd Street in Colorado Springs. But be sure to arrive early to visit and talk with the nonprofit exhibitors in attendance. The event will have free parking, snacks, and beverages for those in attendance.
In preparation for the conference, FOX21 News Photojournalist Cora Mitchell spoke with Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Lieutenant Korey Hutchison about what everyday citizens can do to educate themselves and fight against human trafficking.
