EL PASO, TX – A man accused of killing a 26-year-old Fabens resident was extradited back to El Paso County this week to face a murder charge stemming from a March 2025 shooting, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Angel Lozano, 23, was returned to El Paso County on January 13, 2026, by deputies assigned to the sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit after being held in Colorado. Lozano is charged with murder in the death of Aaron Villa, who was fatally shot outside a residence in Fabens.
Deputies were originally dispatched around 1:43 a.m. on March 20, 2025, to the 100 block of Mezcla in Fabens following reports of shots fired and an aggravated assault.
