Planning is underway for the 2026 Cripple Creek Ice Festival, set to take place from Feb. 14 to 22.

Each year, historic Cripple Creek’s Bennett Avenue is turned into an “open-air gallery of ice,” for the ice festival. According to Visit Colorado Springs, the event draws elite ice carvers from across the country to participate in live competitions, creating large-scale sculpture displays and “hands-on fun.”

Although the festival runs for the full nine days it’s scheduled for, most of the action happens on the weekends. Live carving battles, vendors, and family activities will take place over the weekends, from Friday through Sunday…
