(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs is inviting the community to an open house on Wednesday, Jan. 28, as it prepares to start bridge construction for the Powers Boulevard Extension project, which will extend Powers Boulevard from Highway 83 to Voyager Parkway.
Gayle Sturdivant, City Engineer and Deputy Public Works Director, previously told FOX21 News that the goal of the project is to reduce congestion and travel times, minimize cut-through traffic in neighborhoods, along with improved safety, especially at busy intersections—just to name a few.
