2 killed in crash at Marksheffel and North Carefree; troopers investigating reports of vehicle running light

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Two people were killed after a truck and SUV collided at a busy Colorado Springs intersection.

The deadly crash happened at Marksheffel and North Carefree at the height of the Wednesday morning rush hour. The force of impact caused the pickup, a Ford F-150, to erupt in flames and left a trail of debris at the scene.

The two men in the truck both died at the scene. At the time of this writing, they have only been identified as a 42-year-old and a 19-year-old. State Patrol told 11 News the one person in the SUV had minor injuries…
