COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A southern Colorado college says it’s the only higher education institution in the state offering a program that now helps students with certain challenges by offering them concurrent enrollment.
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) is a common term referring to individuals with a wide range of conditions including but not limited to down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and are on the autism spectrum among others. Until now, Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) says no colleges or universities in Colorado offered IDD high school students opportunities to take college-level classes.
PPSC has now included that opportunity on it’s campus by expanding it’s already established ASPIRE Scholars program…
