CSFD said, during National Burn Awareness Week, which is during the week of Monday, Feb. 2, it wanted to take a moment to remind the community of some important tips to keep you and your family safe while cooking:

  • Never put water on a grease fire.
  • Stay in the kitchen while you’re cooking. If you must leave, turn off the stove.
  • Keep kids and pets out of the kitchen while cooking.
