LARAMIE — The University of Wyoming wrestling team snapped its modest two-dual losing streak in emphatic fashion Friday night. The No. 25 Cowboys throttled Air Force, 36-9, inside the UniWyo Sports Complex.

“I thought they responded well,” head coach Mark Branch said. “We’ve had such a tough schedule. It feels like every dual has been such a tough dual. It has been ranked team after ranked team. It felt good to sit back and enjoy watching our guys do what we want them to do.”
No. 8 Christian Carroll (HWT) did what he does and did so at the start of the dual. The night began with the heavyweights, and Wyoming’s didn’t need the allotted seven minutes to stake his team to a 5-0 lead. He recorded his, 21-6, technical fall in 4:37.
“Christian embodies what we want all of our guys to do,” Branch said. “He’s going to go out and score points in the first period. It’s very typical for him to score three or four takedowns in a period. It would be nice to have him start us off every time. He set the tone for the team.”…
