Despite the claims that the project has been rushed, the Douglas County Commissioners have approved another rezoning amendment for the Sterling Ranch Planned Development.
“The 15th amendment to the Sterling Ranch Planned Development is a major project that has been in the works for years,” Susan Beckman, zoning and rezoning director for Sterling Ranch Development Company, said. “It will transform blighted land into something much better.”
The 15th amendment includes changing the zoning of about 595 acres from agricultural, rural residential and general industrial to Sterling Ranch Planned Development, as well as increasing the total number of dwelling units within the planned development from 12,050 to 16,050 units…
