CSPD: Two arrested after suspect tries to break into bedroom

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call, reporting that a man was trying to break into a bedroom that the caller was locked inside just after midnight on Sunday, Feb. 15, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 7700 block of Crestone Peak Trail, near Woodmen Road and Black Forest Road, and when they discovered the man trying to enter the bedroom. When officers announced their presence, they saw movement inside the home as the suspect turned out the lights and began to barricade the front door.

Officers continued to give the suspect warnings and then forced entry into the home due to concerns for the safety of the people inside, according to CSPD. Officers detained the suspect for felony menacing and learned that he had threatened two women with a baseball bat inside the home…
