Home Sweet Home: Meet Cleo

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Cleo, a one-and-a-half-year-old Pit Bull mix who came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.

HSPPR said Cleo has been returned to the shelter two more times since then and is looking for the perfect family. Cleo likes to play tug-of-war and fetch, and loves treats. She also loves to tear up stuffed toys. Cleo is a young, energetic girl with lots of love to give. She can be shy at first, but warms up once she is settled. She already knows a few tricks like “sit” and “down.”

HSPPR said Cleo needs a no-cat household, strongly advises against a home with small children, and encourages slow, respectful introductions with other dogs. Cleo has lived with other dogs before.

Her adoption fee is $50, and she will go home with a voucher for a veterinarian exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. Cleo is already spayed…
