Vehicle smashes into house in Douglas County

DENVER (KDVR) — Crews are on scene after a car crashed into a home in Douglas County.

Just before 3 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and the South Metro Fire Rescue technical rescue team were on the scene of a vehicle that crashed into a home in the Cottonwood neighborhood.

The fire rescue said crews evaluated a potential patient and are working to stabilize the structure. Photos released by the sheriff’s office show the car’s front end completely inside the home.

The sheriff’s office said the intersection of Sweet Clover Way and Sedge Way is closed as first responders are on the scene, and people should avoid the area and use alternate routes…
