(FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Colo.) — It was a Wednesday morning when we met Jackie Jordan, a Mesa Ridge High School graduate, Army veteran, nurse practitioner, and owner of Fountain Valley Healthcare.
“This is home, this is where my family is. This is where you go to Walmart, and you see people you went to high school with,” she said.
Her office has a small couch and desk. The walls are white with a few windows streaming in sunlight. “You know,” she said, recalling her childhood in Fountain, “it’s hard growing up down here. We didn’t have a lot of anything. There aren’t a lot of restaurants, and when you live down on this end, you have to drive north. But you don’t have to do that for your medical care.”…
