DENVER (KDVR) — Fire crews say a brush fire in Douglas County on Friday is now under control. The fire had been described as large and fast-moving as crews were fighting it earlier in the day.
The fire was near Merryvale Trail in the Parker area, north of Hilltop Road and east of Legend High School, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
Door-to-door evacuations issued earlier have been canceled on Vinegarroon Road and Sonoma Trail, and no further evacuations are expected, the agency said.
