(COLORADO SPRINGS) — U.S. Space Command will offer “significant relocation bonuses” to its civilians in Colorado Springs who choose to move to the command’s new home in Huntsville, Alabama.
These bonuses would be paid out over a period of years, according to a spokesperson with Space Command. The command also told FOX21 News that a retention bonus has been initiated for headquarters staff civilians currently working in Colorado Springs, to retain them in the command as long as possible until their function relocates.

President Donald Trump ordered the headquarters to relocate in September 2025, citing Colorado’s use of mail-in voting. Colorado is suing to try to stop the move–a legal battle that is still playing out in court.
