Restaurant in space once occupied by city morgue can’t be skipped in Colorado

Lately I’ve been on a mission to hunt down restaurants I haven’t tried before, but a recent revisit to a well-known Colorado Springs spot reminded me that some local favorites deserve a bit of recognition, too.

Located beneath a downtown block of Olympic City, U.S.A. is a quirky yet classic fine-dining destination that shouldn’t be skipped – The Rabbit Hole.

In a space that was once the city morgue but has since found new life as a sleek and eclectic spot for New American cuisine, The Rabbit Hole got its start in 2011 and it’s been among the top Colorado Springs restaurants since. “Wonderland-inspired,” The Rabbit Hole serves up numerous creative entrees and memorable cocktails – and the experience of exiting the sidewalk to walk down the steps of an entryway that feels like that of a metro station and into a dimly-lit sort of speakeasy is one patrons won’t soon forget…
