(COLORADO SPRINGS) — There’s a growing trend toward simple, clean skincare — and one ingredient might surprise you. Tallow Daddy makes small-batch skin balms from grass-fed beef tallow, and the husband-and-wife team behind it is building a loyal following.
Cody and Sierra McCurdy started Tallow Daddy after discovering that conventional lotions and creams weren’t helping with persistent skin issues. “Tallow mimics our skin barrier,” Sierra explained. “When you put it on, your body responds as if it was produced naturally. It penetrates the skin and helps seal it from the inside out, instead of just sitting on the surface.”
The products are simple, just grass-fed beef tallow, organic jojoba oil, and essential oils, but that simplicity is what sets them apart. “A lot of commercial lotions have 50 to 70 ingredients,” Sierra said. “We wanted to bring something different to our community that actually works.”
