(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Two people were taken to the hospital for critical injuries after a crash on Highway 24 and 21st Street between a motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Officers responded to the scene just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 5. When they arrived, they learned the motorcycle was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the pickup made a right on red from 21st Street to eastbound Hwy 24, CSPD said.
The motorcycle, according to police, struck the back of the pickup, ejecting the motorcycle driver and passenger. Both were treated on scene before they were taken to the hospital for critical injuries…
