Custer County suspect arrested in Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Friday, March 6, a man wanted by the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) was arrested in Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

On Thursday, March 5, CCSO contacted the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) for help with a wanted suspect from CCSO. CCSO had obtained an arrest warrant for Jeremy Hockett for alleged weapon and narcotic-related charges, including Special Offender, Possession of an Explosive or Incendiary Device, Possessing Unserialized Firearms, and Possession of Schedule 2 Narcotics.

EPSO asked for help from CSPD’s Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force (VOFTF), which started working on Hockett’s arrest. On Friday, Hockett was found leaving a home near South Carefree Circle and North Murray Boulevard, according to CSPD.
