A late-night parking lot confrontation at a Colorado Springs shopping center has turned deadly, after a 15-year-old girl shot in the Astrozon Plaza area earlier this month died from her injuries, police said Monday.
The teenager was wounded around 3 a.m. on March 3 in the parking lot off South Academy Boulevard and died on March 7.
Colorado Springs police have arrested 32-year-old Alexious Barben-Wright and 21-year-old Alyssa Jaramillo in connection with the killing, according to a police news release and court records. Before the victim’s death, both women had been charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder, and Jaramillo also faced multiple counts of menacing, Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
