From $500K to $4M: Colorado Springs band shell project grows as musicians push for more live music

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -A plan to upgrade the historic band shell in downtown Colorado Springs is growing — both in scope and cost.

Leaders say the project at Acacia Park has expanded from an initial estimate of about $500,000 to roughly $4 million, as more upgrades are added to improve the space for performers and the community.
