(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Popular donut shop, Dad’s Donuts, closed its doors after selling out of its last batch on the final day of business, on Sunday, March 22, having announced an indefinite closure the day before on social media.
According to the social media page, the shop was closed due to circumstances beyond the business’s control when the building they were operating out of was sold, and they were required to vacate the premises. Additionally, the manager had to step away “for medical reasons,” leaving the business without a core member instrumental in daily operations and guest experience.
Dad’s Donuts stated that they hadn’t found a new location that allows them to adequately produce and serve donuts, despite actively searching, and therefore, they are pausing operations until they can find the right long-term home and person to make the donuts…
