(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Expected to bring 170 new jobs and $475 million in capital investment to the Pikes Peak Region, Swire Coca-Cola, USA, officially broke ground on a new 620,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in southeast Colorado Springs on Thursday, March 26.
The groundbreaking ceremony kicked off at 10 a.m. at Peak Innovation Park, located in the 4900 block of Integration Loop, near the Colorado Springs Airport. The Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (EDC) joined Swire Coca-Cola, USA, and regional partners, including Governor Jared Polis and Mayor Yemi Mobolade, to celebrate.
Swire Coca-Cola is headquartered in Utah. It manufactures, distributes, and sells Coca-Cola and other beverages in 13 states across the western U.S., with seven locations in Colorado employing 1,300 people statewide.
