Limited-time rain barrel sale in Fountain Creek Watershed District

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Fountain Creek Watershed District is offering a limited-time rain barrel sale through April 12 to encourage the community to conserve water, reduce stormwater pollution, and save money.

Alli Shuch, Executive Director of Fountain Creek Watershed District, joined FOX21 News Morning Show Anchor Craig Coffey in the studio on Tuesday, March 31, to explain the benefits of using a rain barrel.

“This is a really easy way to not only save water, but keep our water cleaner by keeping that water on site,” said Shuch.

The 50-gallon barrel has a screen on top to keep mosquitoes from laying eggs on it. It’s equipped with a hose and a spigot for easy access. It is BPA-free and made from recycled plastic…
