Colorado Springs City Council to hold Special Meeting to fill District 2 seat

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – On Monday, the Colorado Springs City Council plans to hold a Special Meeting to appoint a new councilmember to the now vacant District 2 seat.

Between March 12 and March 26, candidates filled out applications, and following the closure of applications, councilmembers said they recommended their top choices to move on in consideration.

The following candidates are being considered for the District 2 Seat:

  • Polly Cambron
  • Cindy Carter
  • Ken Casey
  • Anita Miller
  • Shawn Murray
  • Dan Spohn

During the Special Meeting, officials said the candidates will have five minutes to address the City Council. The councilmembers are then expected to get an opportunity to ask follow-up questions, with the candidates having three minutes to respond…
