Become a foster family for Colorado pups!

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — El Paso County Canine Rescue is on a mission to save high-risk dogs from overcrowded shelters, and they’re looking for the community’s help. Specializing in pregnant moms, nursing dogs, puppies, and medically needy cases, every dog is placed in a foster home where they receive care, love, and a chance to heal.

Operations Director Julie Cousino joined FOX21’s Krista Witiak with Bo, an 8-week-old puppy available for adoption, and Bleu, a special-needs French Bulldog, to talk about the rescue’s work and the vital role of foster families.

The rescue is hosting an adoption event on Saturday, April 4, at PetSmart, located at 7680 North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can meet pups like 8-week-old Bo and other dogs in need of loving homes. Cousino encourages anyone interested in fostering or donating to help give these dogs a second chance at life…
