Vehicle registration enforcement surge set to begin Sunday

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A community-wide vehicle registration enforcement surge will take place from Sunday, April 5, through Saturday, April 11, across Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD will be joined by several other agencies, including the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), Colorado State Patrol, Monument Police Department, Fountain Police Department, and the Palmer Lake Police Department.

The enforcement surge will focus on expired and unregistered vehicles, according to police, who added that officers will take a “zero-tolerance” approach to any registration violations…
