Month of the Military Child Carnival to bring fun to families in Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize the resilience of children in military families. To celebrate the community’s military children, a carnival will take place on Sunday, April 12, hosted by VFW 101 and the Southeast Armed Services YMCA.

The Month of the Military Child Carnival will feature carnival-style games and prizes, community resources, t-shirts for the first 200 guests aged 12 and under, a bounce house, giveaways, and tasty snacks and drinks.

Those who want to help give back to the community can bring non-perishable food items, such as peanut butter, jelly, and other canned goods. Donations will go to the Care and Share Food Bank to be distributed to people across Southern Colorado…
