I grew up in Parker, Colorado dating back to the early 80s when Main Street was literally a brick road. There was one grocery store in town back then – Hill’s Market – which ultimately expanded to include a few others.

I left Parker in the late 90s and haven’t lived there since, but I’ve visited and it’s now a massive place compared to what it was when I grew up there.
I remember when Highland’s Ranch began to develop, and all of the little towns across Douglas County sort of grew outward until they were basically all connected in one massive suburban area just 20 miles south of Denver.
Douglas County has been the fastest growing in Colorado for a number of years, but that title has now been taken by another county right here in Northern Colorado…
