Vigil held in Colorado Springs for man killed in officer-involved shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A vigil was held Sunday in Colorado Springs to honor a man who died following an officer-involved shooting the night before, as family and friends gathered to remember his life and call for answers.

“Our brother was loved by many and we appreciate everybody for taking time out their day to come support us during this hard time,” said Chelsie Stone, the man’s sister.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers spotted a vehicle they considered suspicious late Saturday on North Academy Boulevard with a man and woman they were familiar with. When officers attempted to contact them, police said the male driver tried to flee but became stuck near a McDonald’s at North Academy Boulevard and San Miguel Street…
