Officer, good Samaritans help motorcyclist following crash in east Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A police officer and several good Samaritans rushed to a motorcyclist’s side after seeing the rider go airborne in a crash Friday afternoon.

The Colorado Springs Police Department says its officer was traveling westbound on Platte Avenue near Auburn Drive when he saw an eastbound motorcycle collide with a truck, then saw the rider fly off their bike.

Several witnesses pulled over to help the motorcyclist until first responders could get on scene. The rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive…
