Donated kennels stolen overnight from southern Colorado animal rescue

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -A southern Colorado nonprofit says thousands of dollars’ worth of donated dog kennels were stolen overnight, just hours after they were delivered to its facility.

The San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society says the kennels had been picked up earlier that day from Camp Bow Wow, where they were donated during a remodel.

According to the organization’s operations manager, Randall Jernigan, the kennels were loaded onto a rented trailer in Colorado Springs and driven about three hours to the group’s property in Costilla County. The trailer was left overnight inside a gated area because it was too late to unload…
