COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Fire officials across southern Colorado are warning that wildfire danger is already running ahead of normal seasonal patterns as dry, windy and warm conditions continue to raise concern.
According to the National Weather Service, in El Paso County alone, there have been 28 Red Flag Warnings in the southern part of the county and 20 in the northern part so far this year, putting 2026 ahead of the pace compared to previous years.
