COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Columbia-based Optus Bank and North Carolina’s M&F Bank have announced plans to merge, a move that would create the nation’s largest African American-owned financial institution.
The two banks together represent more than 220 years of banking history and nearly $1.3 billion in assets.
