LEXINGTON — A development near a Lexington high school is moving forward. It has ties to sitting town officials.

The developers have asked the town to rezone property to allow the project to move forward, as well as remove scenic corridor protections from the site.

What did Town Council approve?

Plans for an office park on the 500 Block of Corley Mill Road were approved by Lexington Town Council in a 4-1 vote during a Sept. 8 meeting. The property is near a gas station, existing homes, River Bluff High School and Interstate 20.
