Richland County Council approves vape ban

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Richland County Council approved an ordinance Tuesday night in a third and final reading banning vaping and the use of electronic smoking devices across unincorporated areas of the county.

The measure expands the county’s existing workplace smoking restrictions to include e-cigarettes and vaping products. Under the updated rules, vaping is prohibited in all covered indoor workplaces and customer-facing areas, including retail stores, restaurants, and shared work environments.
