The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred November 1 in Richland County.
Early that morning, Irmo Police Department officers responded to a home on Ashbourne Road, in Irmo regarding a domestic disturbance.
When officers arrived on scene and approached the front door of the residence, a man armed with an AR rifle opened the front door. During the encounter with the armed man, an officer fired.
