An investigation is ongoing following the discovery of two bodies at the Grove Apartments in Spartanburg County early on Wednesday.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene on Warren H Abernathy Highway around 7 a.m. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and details are scarce.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office reassures the public, stating there is no perceived threat to safety.
However, these are not the only bodies that have turned up in South Carolina in recent weeks.
The Richland County Coroner has identified the remains discovered on January 12 as Adriana Laster, a South Carolina woman who vanished over 12 years ago.

Coroner Naida Rutherford confirmed the identification through tests, and investigators are now focusing on Freddie Grant as the suspected perpetrator. Grant, already serving a lengthy sentence for a past murder, is now facing warrants and charges related to Laster’s case.
