We are getting to the point of the season where NET Rankings are starting to become important.
The amount of Quad 1 wins a team has and Quad 3/4 losses a team has will play a role in the seeding. Kentucky just lost to the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia to move to 4-2 in SEC play. This was a Quad 1 loss for Kentucky, just like the Texas A&M game was, but the Wildcats have to start playing better away from Rupp Arena. It isn’t easy winning basketball games away from home in the SEC, but great teams do it, and this Kentucky team can be great.

Quad 2: 2-0
Quad 3: 5-1
Quad 4: 5-0
The Wildcats are currently sitting at 22nd in the NET Rankings, which is a far fall from where they were a few weeks ago. At the end of the day, all Kentucky can do is keep winning basketball games. They can’t control which Quad each game falls under so the best plan is to just keep winning games.
Coach John Calipari has called out Kentucky’s defense and said against Arkansas, if you don’t defend and rebound, you “Won’t play.”
