Police officers from across the state gathered recently at Serve and Connect Headquarters on Brookf ield Road in Columbia, to pack 600 cold winter kits to be distributed to people in need in their towns and communities. The kits consisted of a hat, gloves, scarf, and a blanket along with statewide resources numbers and brochures. Williamston police officer Lee Mahaffrey (l) and Richland County Sheriff’s investigator officer David Nieves finish packing the kits.
