Irmo officer fired, accused of removing political signs

IRMO, S.C. – An Irmo Police officer has been fired after an investigation uncovered that he was removing political signs. In a statement, Police Chief Bobby Dale said that authorities received information that Officer Lee Haley was involved in removing political signs recently reported stolen by candidate Gabrielle Penfield. Dale said an internal affairs investigation launched Friday morning led to Haley’s termination.
