$60,000 in Greek Festival equipment stolen from Columbia, SC, church, police say

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Thousands of dollars of kitchen and cooking equipment belonging to a well-known church in South Carolina have been stolen. The suspect(s) stole approximately $50,000 to $60,000 worth of merchandise owned by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Columbia police officers said they were called to a a storage facility at the 1900 block of Gregg Street last month regarding a variety of stolen supplies, including multiple refrigerators, deep freezers, deep fryers, cooling tables, and food warming sets.
