Arrests Made in Connection to Double Murder Cases in Late 2023: Missing Man’s Body Found

In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, authorities have apprehended a man and a woman believed to be linked to two separate murders that shook the community in late 2023. The recent discovery of a body has provided crucial insights into one of the victim’s identities, shedding light on a previously unresolved missing person case in Lexington County.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has leveled a series of charges against 22-year-old Allon Triante Adams of Leesville and 19-year-old Cady Elise Keener of Lexington. These charges include two counts of murder, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and the desecration of human remains.

According to a statement issued by Sheriff Jay Koon, detectives have pieced together the events leading to the tragic demise of two individuals. The first victim, identified as Devon Tricoche, met a fatal end on November 28 in the 600 block of Kestrel Drive in Leesville. Authorities allege that Adams and Keener shot Tricoche during a robbery before disposing of his body in the Edisto River in Aiken County.

The grim saga continued with the death of another man, Tony Etheredge Jr., on December 30, purportedly at the hands of the same suspects. Etheredge’s tragic fate unfolded during an attempted robbery on Parrish Road in Leesville. Initially abandoning Etheredge’s body off Parrish Road, the perpetrators later discarded it into Black Creek, where it was discovered on a fateful Friday evening.

Etheredge’s disappearance had prompted a search effort by his concerned family after losing contact with him. His abandoned truck was later recovered near Truex Road and Rish Drive, further intensifying fears for his safety.

Sheriff Koon, while acknowledging the arrests as significant progress, emphasized that investigations into both deaths remain ongoing. He cautioned that additional charges could be forthcoming as authorities continue to unravel the complexities of the case.

In a plea for community cooperation, Sheriff Koon urged anyone with pertinent information regarding either incident to come forward. Concerned individuals can reach out to the sheriff’s department directly or provide anonymous tips via Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or CrimeSC.com.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of these heinous crimes, the resolve of law enforcement remains unwavering in their pursuit of justice and closure for the victims and their families.
