Second South Carolina earthquake rattles Lugoff, Elgin areas in just over 24 hours

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. – Following a Saturday earthquake in Kershaw County, yet another occurred Sunday afternoon, and dozens of people reported feeling it. The latest earthquake occurred around 6 p.m. and had an estimated magnitude of 2.4. According to initial projections from the U.S. Geological Survey, it was centered off Green Hill Road west of Whiting Way and I-20. As of 6:40 p.m., roughly 160 people had reported feeling the rumble.
