All eyes were on Colorado and Baylor on Saturday in what turned out to be a real nail-biter between two teams that did not want to let up. The game needed a winner, though, and in the end, it was the Buffaloes who came out on top , 38-31, thanks to the heroics of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.
One personality who was tuned in to the high-octane contest was the head coach of the South Carolina women’s basketball team Dawn Staley, who could not help but share her excitement via X (formerly Twitter).
In particular, Staley was left in awe by Hunter’s awesome performance as the Colorado wide receiver caught no less than seven receptions during the contest for a game-high 130 receiving yards.
“Two words that are names…..TRAVIS HUNTER!!! Goodness!!!” Staley tweeted.
In a succeeding post, the 54-year-old coach then sent a message to the Buffaloes requesting a Hunter jersey.
This series of excited tweets, however, did not sit well with at least one South Carolina supporter, who decided to call Staley out for her support for Colorado.
