Heavy Frost & Possible Freeze Expected Across Parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia

Temperatures to Approach or Reach Sub-Freezing Tonight Across the Southeast

11/23/24 4:52pm EST

Good evening everyone. As forecasted and discused over the past 24hrs, we are expecting another night of very cold temperatures across the Southeast. However, we see our frost and freeze potential spread as clouds & wind no longer protect areas that were protected last night.

Clear skies and lighter winds will help along radiational cooling across areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. We will also see these conditions continue from last night in parts of north Florida and Alabama. Temperatures are expected to dip to near-freezing or just below freezing overnight tonight.

For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory stretching from central to near-coastal North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and north Florida. Freeze warnings are posted in northern Alabama, with frost advisories around the perimeter of that watch-box.

Take proper precautions to protect late season crops, plants, and livestock as we could see another repeat tomorrow night into the early morning hours of Monday.
