COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Deaths caused by overdose are the lowest they’ve been in the last five years, according to the Lexington Richland alcohol and drug abuse council or LRADAC.
That announcement was made with sympathy during LRADAC’s annual Black Balloon Release Awareness Day. It’s a day to remember the lives lost to overdose in both Lexington and Richland County. The event welcomed local law enforcement agencies and coroners across the Midlands in an effort to provide awareness and motivation to continue fighting for those with addiction.
