Lexington PD announces road closures for 10th annual Shamrock Parade

The 10th annual Shamrock Parade is scheduled to take place on Sun., March 9, and Chief Terrence Green of the Lexington Police Dept. has announced that there will be several road closures in downtown Lexington in order to ensure the safety of participants and individuals attending the event.

Road closures and detours will begin on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on West Butler St., from Columbia Ave. to North Church St., along with Haygood St. and part of Meetze St., to allow for participants involved in the parade to stage and prepare their floats. Groups or individuals participating in the parade should plan on arriving early.
