Man sentenced to 25 years for Fentanyl capable of causing 41,000 overdoses

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A West Columbia man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being found in possession of a fentanyl stash potent enough to cause 41,000 fatal overdoses.

On Tuesday, 52-year-old David Matthews Jr. was convicted of trafficking fentanyl (28 grams or more) and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
