Richland County crime spree ends in arrest after violent two-day rampage

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A man is in jail after a violent two-day crime spree in Richland County involving robberies, shootings, assaults, and resisting arrest. Deputies say Steven Mosely, 33, was arrested after a series of incidents that began Wednesday morning in Lexington County.

Authorities say Mosely shot a person, stole a golf cart, rifle, ATV, and cell phone, and then fled. The victims are expected to survive. Mosely later crashed the ATV and was arrested after attempting to take a deputy’s gun and resisting with physical violence, including slamming his head on the patrol car windows. Deputies used a Taser to subdue him.
